DANIEL CLARE - MANAGING DIRECTOR  

Daniel’s career has been going from strength to strength since he started at Saatchi & Saatchi over 20 years ago.

Having worked in London, New York and across Eastern Europe, he has now brought his wealth of experience to Edinburgh, and Only U. An expert in the fields of advertising, integrated and direct marketing, Daniel’s passion lies in developing targeted communications programmes that achieve incremental business results.

In the 1990s Daniel was responsible for building two of the most successful integrated agency launches – Publicis Focus and FCB Impact, before going on to help launch a specialist technology market sector direct agency – tidalwave, to take advantage of the dot.com boom.

Conscious of the increasing need for clients to be accountable for their marketing budgets, Daniel’s focus is on working in partnership with clients to deliver marketing programmes that achieve significant ROI.

IAN MCATEER, CHAIRMAN  

Ian is one of the most respected marketing and business brains in Scotland. As managing director of the Union he has managed the growth of the agency into one of the top advertising agencies outside of London.

It was Ian's vision that led to the creation of Only U - a specialist direct marketing agency that would deliver top quality thinking, creative work and results in the same mould as the Union. Ian remains involved in the general management of the agency as well as providing strategic input for some of our main clients.

MARK REID - PLANNING DIRECTOR  

A critical issue for any marketing agency is to be able to really identify and understand the target audience. This principle holds true regardless of whether you are talking about direct marketing, online marketing, design or advertising.

We are fortunate therefore to be able to draw on the resources and experience of Mark Reid. Mark is best known as the Union's planning director, but as a director in OU he brings invaluable skills in planning and research. Mark and his team regularly help us to get under the skin of target audiences as well as refining propositions and strategy proposals.

Mark's background is in market research and as a planner in some of the UK's leading advertising agencies. He has worked on a wide range of client accounts and has experience across the range of marketing communications including integrated campaigns.
