The opportunity:

This entry-level role - ideal for a graduate or school leaver - is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience across finance, people and office operations in a busy creative agency. You’ll sit right at the heart of how the business runs, supporting everything from client finance and reporting to onboarding new starters and keeping the office ticking, gaining exposure to senior leaders from day one. If you’re curious, organised, keen to learn and ready to get stuck in, this could be the perfect launchpad for your career.

You’ll work closely with our Finance Director and Group HR Advisor, while also learning the ropes of office management. It’s a role with real variety, real responsibility, and plenty of room to grow.

Your role:

You’ll support the smooth running of the agency across three key areas:

Finance support

  • Posting transactions and supporting account reconciliations
  • Running analysis reports and helping us understand client and project performance
  • Keeping our client database accurate, tidy and up to date
  • Assisting Account Management with finance queries
  • Helping prepare key financial information for compliance and audit deadlines

HR support

  • Preparing offer letters and supporting the onboarding of new starters
  • Organising inductions and tracking progress through check-ins and probation
  • Creating standard HR letters (pay reviews, leavers, salary sacrifice)
  • Maintaining confidential staff records, absence logs and holiday tracking
  • Helping format and publish new or updated company policies

Office management & reception cover

  • Welcoming visitors and supporting front-of-house
  • Assisting with meeting room setup, refreshments and client hospitality
  • Keeping communal areas looking spotless and professional
  • Organising maintenance and liaising with trades when needed

The ideal change-maker:

You don’t need experience - we’ll train you - but you will need:

  • Good Microsoft Word & Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivots are a plus)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment
  • A confident, friendly communication style
  • A proactive, helpful approach - you don’t wait to be asked twice
  • Absolute discretion with confidential information
  • A natural curiosity and willingness to learn

The obvious stuff:

  • Competitive compensation to match your role
  • Investing in your growth with training
  • Benefits from pensions to life cover
  • Ample holiday time, for you to recharge and reflect
  • Opportunities for enlightenment through IPA CPD and Union Academy initiatives
  • Flexible working that bends to life’s rhythm
