The opportunity
We're seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to own social media for our clients, from strategy through to publishing and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building engaged communities, has a sharp eye for great content, and understands how social fits within a wider brand and campaign strategy. You'll work across a portfolio of clients - developing social strategies, planning content calendars, creating content, as well as publishing, reporting and optimising it. You'll take on significant responsibility, work closely with our creative department, and play a key role in spotting and growing opportunities with both existing and new clients. You’ll report into a Senior Creative within our Creative Department.
Your role
- Social strategy - develop bespoke social media strategies for each client, defining objectives, target audiences, tone of voice, platform choices, and content pillars.
- Content calendar planning - build and manage content calendars across all clients, balancing always-on content with campaign and seasonal activity.
- Content creation - create engaging, on-brand content - copy, graphics, and video - tailored to each platform and client, working closely with the creative team where needed.
- Publishing - schedule and publish content across social channels.
- Optimisation - track content and channel performance, testing formats and approaches to continuously improve engagement, reach and conversions.
- Media planning - plan organic and paid social media activity to support client objectives, ensuring channels and budgets are used effectively.
- Multi-client Ownership - run social media for several clients at once, prioritising effectively and adapting strategy and tone for each brand.
- Growth and opportunity spotting - identify opportunities to grow social media activity with existing clients, and contribute social expertise to new business pitches.
- Analysis and reporting - monitor performance using native platform analytics and reporting tools. Analyse data to identify trends and insights, and create clear, meaningful reports for clients and internal teams.
- Trendspotting - stay on top of platform updates, emerging formats, and social trends, bringing fresh ideas to clients ahead of the curve.
- Client Interaction - communicate confidently with clients, presenting strategies, content plans, and performance reports.
- Collaboration - work closely with the creative department and wider internal teams (strategy, account management, creative) to ensure social activity is integrated with broader client campaigns.
- Process management - maintain clear documentation of project progress, including status reports and contact reports.
The ideal
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience managing social media, ideally across multiple brands or clients. Experience gained agency-side or client-side is valuable.

- Familiar with social media scheduling, listening and analytics tools.
- Comfortable using design and content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Premier, or similar).
- Willingness to learn new technical skills.
- Strategic and creative thinker: A keen eye for what makes compelling content and a strong understanding of how to build engaged online communities.
- Analytical mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable content and strategy decisions.
- Problem-solving: Curious, resourceful and adept at finding solutions to technical or strategic challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to clients and colleagues.
- Organisation: Well-organised with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once.
- Attitude: Self-motivated, proactive and collaborative, with a positive "can-do" approach.
- Culture: Gels well with a diverse team, interested in digital and social culture and committed to continuous learning and helping others grow.
