Summer barbecuing months coincide with peaks in Campylobacter infection, the most common form of food poisoning in Scotland. Almost 80% of infections are attributed to poorly cooked chicken. Our segmentation study showed that young people were particularly vulnerable to food safety issues, so we targeted single adults aged under 35. ‘Nothing spoils Summer like a Pink Chicken’ was rolled out through PR and multi-media channels.
