THE UNION OPENS FOR BUSINESS

The Union Advertising Agency was launched today in Edinburgh. The business is founded and backed by three former Faulds Advertising Directors, Joint Creative Directors Andrew Lindsay and Simon Scott, and Client Services Director Ian McAteer. The three leave the agency with immediate effect and have opened offices in 1 St Colme Street, Edinburgh.

The agency starts with no clients but ambitious plans to grow into one of the UK’s leading ad agencies. Creative Directors Scott and Lindsay had helped lead Faulds Advertising into one of Scotland’s most recognised creative agencies. Prior to Faulds, McAteer was a Director at Saatchi & Saatchi London, where he had worked on the British Airways, Campbell’s Soup, Avis Rent-a-car and BP accounts.

(A few months later the breakaway was joined by the fourth founder, Mark Reid, who took on the role of Planning Director at the company. Mark had been the Deputy Planning Director at Faulds Advertising.)
